Officer Statements:
Adia Thomas: Hello NV/CA Region,
My name is Adia Thomas, and I’m truly honored to serve as your Regional President. I represent the Beta Kappa Delta Chapter at Santa Monica College, where I’m triple majoring in General Science, Environmental Studies, and Global Studies.
Running for this position was one of the most inspiring and transformative experiences of my life. The thoughtful questions and gracefully unfiltered conversations were far beyond what I anticipated. From the voting delegate from Myanmar, to our incredible EOPS students, to our quiet friend and his supportive chapter, you all left an imprint on me and showed me that our region is full of grounded, powerful leaders.
Those moments taught me to lead with transparency, to embrace who I am, and to never underestimate the power of showing up as your full self. They will continue to shape how I move forward, not just in this role, but throughout my life and career.
As your Regional President, I’m committed to creating an inclusive, empowering environment where every PTK member feels inspired to lead. I’m excited to work alongside our board to uplift chapters, amplify underrepresented voices, and build something meaningful together across the NV/CA region.
Thank you for supporting me, for seeing me, and for empowering me. I’ll do my best to make you proud.
Drew Choueiri: Oh, hello! My name is Drew Choueiri, and I am your 2025-2026 Northwest VP of the Nevada/California Region. I am a Math and Econ major studying at Cañada College in Redwood City, California. I have been a senior tutor with the Learning Center for the last two years, and I tutor Calculus, Public Communications, Environmental Science, and Economics. Tutoring continues to be a humbling and deeply rewarding experience watching my peers grow into their best selves and thrive in their studies. Extending these experiences to my role as a regional officer, I am committed to empowering, uplifting, and uniting my peers throughout the Nevada/California region through empathy, compassion, clear communication, and vulnerability.
In my personal life, I have a variety of hobbies. I enjoy embroidering, reading, rock climbing, yoga, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. Something you may not know about me is that I am a giant nerd. I love playing Dungeons and Dragons (DnD) and trying out new board games with friends. It is an honor and a privilege to serve as your Northwest regional VP.
Loretta Harris: Hello, everyone! I’m excited to serve as your VP of the Northeast District! A little background on me: I’m a mother of three and I grew up in an unconventional household; both of my biological parents are mentally disabled, so I was adopted, yet fortunate enough to still have them present in my life. My upbringing came with many challenges, but it shaped my perspective and resilience. As a first-generation college student, I’m now pursuing a path toward becoming a college counselor. I’m deeply passionate about education, leadership, and empowering others to reach their full potential.
Jasmine Marquez: Hi everyone, my name is Jasmine Marquez! I am your NV/CA VP of the Southeast District from the Alpha Pi Epsilon Chapter at Southwestern College! I grew up in the suburbs of Northern California but moved out to San Diego to get a new experience. Growing up I have always been fascinated by trees and animals but also have had the urge to help people. Uncertain of what I hope to do in the future, I have loved learning and exploring different opportunities. Since joining PTK I've been embraced into a community which motivates and inspires each other. I look forward to working with you and achieving this region's goals!
